Campaign to be Featured in S4 DVD Extra!

On his Sci Fi blog this week, script coordinator Alex Levine said Ivon Bartok has created a featurette on the SGA Season 4 DVDs devoted to the campaign to bring back Carson! From Alex’s blog:
I also want to take this opportunity to plug Ivon’s behind the scenes featurettes. He had the heart to show several of them in the writers room during lunch the other day - specifically his piece on the “Bring Carson Beckett Back” campaign, as well as the first blooper reel ever to leave the building. Well, despite the chiding he got from the producers (hey, they’re producers, they’re PAID to be opinionated), both pieces were fully enjoyed, and partly due to the comic stylings of one Martin Q. Gero. His intro’s and extro’s on the blooper reel are funnier than the bloopers. And his interviews of the die-hard Beckett fans when they protested outside the Bridge Studios gate are pretty damn funny too. So definitely get your hands on those when they come out on the season box set in the summer sometime.
No Stargate fan campaign has ever been documented like this on a DVD, so we should be very honored. On the other hand, given the involvement of Gero, we don’t know if the tenor of the featurette is sympathetic or ridiculing… But one thing is for sure either way: our efforts will be immortalized.

ok i dont know if carson beckett is coming back on but i hope he does becuz i am so sad that carson had to go becuz he was my favorite and he was the best doctor for the job

Scots are used to people laughing at them - we are pretty good at laughing at ourselves too.
So no matter what Gero says and how it is said it will be to our advantage.

Well, that’s great, but I hope that means there is still a chance to bring Carson back. It was a little quiet lately regarding the cast for season 5.

Yep, Susan is spot on! We’re big enough to take it on whatever the angle is! My family, friends, and colleagues have all ribbed me constantly (all good natured!) since Carson’s demise so I’m kinda used to it. I work in the UK health service and when I walk though the waiting room with my Save Carson Mug - many a patient has asked me about it and I’ve struck up friendly conversation with them because of it. They might think me a bit nutty and have a good laugh at me but for some people it’s probably the only laugh they get all day so I welcome it!

Is this going to be a GOOD thing? Yes TPTB have been RAELLY quiet concerning the cast for Season Five. I know no news is good news….sometimes….but they are bring as secretive about Season Five, which, I might add, is SUPPOSED to be starting principal shooting next month, and absolutely NO news on whether our favorite Scot will be back! All this hard work on OUR part SHOULD mean SOMETHING. Right? Don’t we, and Paul, deserve a break here? A reward? After all, Paul didn’t ASK to be dropped from the show!
Come on Mallozzi and Mullie. Pay attention to the fans here and what we’ve worked hard to achieve!
Getting info on Season Five is like trying to get info on ‘The Kindred’! -

I will SO Be rushing out (As I always do) To get a copy of the Season 4 Box set!!! I got the first 3 seasons AS SOON as they came out.. This won’t be any different. I Truely wish that I had cable so I could enjoy the new episodes as they air.. sadly I have to watch past seasons (And in the wrong order) Due to my local stations in-ability to air them right..
But I am up to date in reading the discriptions of each episode and am fully up to date on all thats happened so far. I am proud that the efforts that have come up in trying to get this wonderful actor back on this show! And even though My name and face won’t be featured in the SGA-SCB Featurett, I can at least say I was one of those writing Letters!!! I haven’t been to a covention, or met The beautiful, wonderful and talented Paul McGillion, But My heart was with the other fans who COULD Go and stand in the rain and support him! I’ve made countless Banners, E-mail stickers and fwd’ed E-mail after e-mail and IM’ed countless people passing on info on how to get involved, help and about our full cause. Looks like those efforts will truley be imortalized!! YA-HOO!! Viva-Le-Scottland!~*Kelly

Are you really coming back, My mom would love to see you back on the show Atlantis again
When you got blownup that time I thought you would never be back and then you came back into that episode Wich I don’t remember.
Anyway what I mean is my Family is a really big fan of you and the rest of the team so please come back to Stargate Atlantis!!
