Why was Dr Carson taken out of Stargate it wa not even a heroic exit that should be fitting for an actor that added so much to the ever important character interlpay with Rodney. He has left a hole in the series I love so much the stories are only as good as those that act and it is this that adds to the escapism we wll watch these for Please bring him back…

I guess Amanda Tapping must have been an expensive addition and costly to Paul McGillion. I know they do it on daytime soaps to pay for the expensive actors, corners have to be cut and some people have to go. I think its sad. Carson was the heart of Atlantis. I believe Torri is also now on recurring status, makes me wonder how long this show can last. (I don’t have cable, so I have to wait until they come out on DVD - so I’m behind). At this rate, with the crossovers, its really more of SG-1 then Atlantis. I loved SG-1 and was sad to see that go. But some of the actors were probably getting pretty burned out too even if it wasn’t their choice to end it. I can’t wait for the 2 upcoming movies on DVD.

I was absolutely horrified when Dr. Carson Beckett was killed off in the episode “Sunday”. What on earth are the network executives thinking? He was such a fun loving and likeable character that will be very hard to replace. Please bring Dr. Beckett back - it certainly won’t be the same without him.

I can’t believe they wrote Paul McGillion out of Atlantis!.He was by far my favourite character. He had the perfect mix of comedy ,sensitivity and guile. They really need to bring him back and stop changing the core cast so often.

Paul was really the warmest of all the characters. He was always looking at the glass half full even if he was sometimes getting pushed aside simply because he was the doctor and not the military guy. He really provided more of the happy front to the show. Please bring him back. I am never a fan of replacement characters EVER. It’s hard to live up to the old characters shoes. Save Carson!
