Our intrepid volunteers arrived in Manhattan, NY at 3 a.m. today to stake out their territory outside the studio of the Today Show.
Recall all we need is an “appearance” on national US TV to satisfy Joe Mallozzi’s challenge and get Carson back for some episodes of Season 4. Well, our SCB troopers did manage to get on screen three separate times during the three-hour broadcast. Here is one screen shot to prove the point. More details and photos to follow, as well as the West Coast results… Thanks to the volunteers for your sacrifice and willingness to go all the way for Carson!

Man, you guys rock! I had set my tv to record it before I headed off in the morning, but I got home late to find that my father had deleted it as our program guide goes on the fritz sometimes ^_^;. How did the Conan/Craig rallies go?

Awesome job everyone! I wish I could have made it, but being in southern PA it would have been a seven hour drive, plus I would have had to get there -like they did- at 3 AM. Wow. Well done everyone. Hopefully this was enough to raise some eyebrows from the producers. We all want Paul back, and that alone should give us enough stamina to see this through and make it happen. Good Job everyone

YESSSSSS! Thank GOD they were seen. I usually watch Today show as I get ready for work. I turned on the tube and almost CHOKED ON MY BREAKFAST! frak yes!! i SCREAMED SO MUCH MY HUBBY THOUGHT I WAS DYING! Way to go, gang!

Sigh – don’t mean to be a killjoy but has anyone checked out Mallozzi’s latest post?(April 07th)
i suppose it was to much to hope that he would honour this one. -
Dont get too dishearted Marie, we all know Mallozzi likes to toy with fans especially online. I think this is a time for ‘wait and see’. He was very good to us at the event, which he could have totally been the opposite and despite his ‘bad guy’ image online he’s actually a nice guy in real life. So while it does also irk me a little, I’m going to learn my lesson and wait and see…for now anyway…

When did he specifically say that such an appearance counted? Is there a record of it online somewhere that we could point to and go, “See, you said.”?
