   I just read over the thread in GW forum, and I really wonder why the hell the people ask a) always the same lame questions and b) always questions that are already answered in several interviews (done by Gateworld, TJuk and others). I’m sure its not funny for Paul too to have to answer the same stuff over and over again.

   as you got the job by Stargate-Atlantis. Was there already joy to got this part or was there some fear to stuck in that character? That the fans always see you as Carson Beckett?

   All I can ask is that TPTB realize their mistake and rectify the situation! I have had the pleasure of seeing you at the last two San Diego Comic Cons and it was a pleasure to watch ALL of you! Too bad they wouldn’t tell us if you all were signing autographs anywhere in the dealer’s room but I need to tell you I ADORE Carson Beckett and I ADORE you, Paul and the show WILL NOT be the same without you! In fact, I will very probably discontinue watching if the worst was to happen! I did the same when Lt. Colonel Paul Ironhorse was killed off rather horribly in WAR OF THE WORLDS several years ago and I can say with complete certainty the same will happen now! I love the show but without Carson it will be a pretty barren place! Thank you Paul for bringing Carson so wonderfully to life!

   LONG LIVE CARSON AND LONG LIVE PAUL!!!!!!

   I am a die-hard Stargate fan, whether it be SG1 or SGA. Even tho Richard Dean Anderson is no longer a regular on SG1 since season 8, I still bought season 9 & plan to buy season 10. I just have to see how it ends. I’m sure someone out there feels this way!

   As far as losing Dr. Beckett on SGA, I have to say that as a World of Warcraft player, I’m sure that those of you who both play WoW & watch Stargate will agree when I say WTF?!

   SGA just wouldn’t feel the same w/o Carson. Granted if it is HIS choice to leave the show, I respect his wishes. However if it’s not, I can say with great certainty that there WILL BE other viewers who will either not watch as frequently or stop watching all together & I cannot speak for those MILLIONS of people.

   I for one, will continue to watch simply b/c that’s how I am; Loyal not only to the actors but to the story…as long as it doesn’t start sucking! KEEP BECKETT AS A REGULAR!!

   I am really sad to see Carson killed off in the Episode Sunday in Season 3. I wanted Paul McGillion to know that I adore kill character and I wanted to thank him for giving me countlees hours of entertainment. He will be greatly missed and I hope to see Paul pop up on my home TV screen again soon. I wanted to ask him why the producers of Stargate do NOT listen to the millions of fans? Stargate SG1 ending and Carson being killed were greatly protestested by countless fans- If so many people care about these issues - why don’t they listen? Is it all about making money? Was Paul leaving Atlantis a Monetary decision?
   I love Carson and I thankyou Paul and savecarsonbeckett.com for allowing me the opportunity to voice my opinion and hopefully get some answers.

   I just wanted to tell that Carson Beckett was and will always be my favourite character in “Atlantis”. And I’m deeply sorry that he was killed by his oun people. What I mean is that he did not die because of the explosion . No he died because the producers and the other “big men and woman” killed him !!! If you agree with me let us all say : Paul , you’re not ALONE !!! We want you back as a REGULAR and we will do everything we can to bring you back !!! Freedom for the Bulgarian medics in Libya !

   Does anyone know why he got killed off? Did he want to leave the show or did they want him gone? Was there a contract dispute? Were there creative differences like the ones that led to Daniel Jackson not being in season 6 of sg-1? Does anyone know?

   All we know is that Paul DID NOT want to leave and was sad and disappointed by the decision. The only explanation given from the production side is that they wanted to ’shake things up a bit’. Otherwise TPTB have refused to give anything resembling a decent comment. As far as we know there was no contract dispute (Paul still had a few years on his contract as far as we know…obviously this is why the character was killed off rather then leaving) or creative difference.

    Carson Beckett was my favorite character when my dad showed me season one. We finished the whole season on DVD over a weekend. I absolutley loved it! Carson seemed so awesome and without him my second favorite character, John, and all the others, would die! Not only did he heal in the show, he healed the show, and I don’t think anything will erase him from the fans mind- he brought the show together- brought it to life! I still watch it for it is a good show, but Dr. Keller is terrible at doing all of which Carson did. Paul, Carson, you will forever be in our minds.
